Is there a disadvantage of booking two one-way Southwest flights as your flights to/from Orlando? I hope this question makes sense! I'd like to book the return flight from MCO to PHL now as it's a good time and price, but I'd like to keep watching the departure flight from PHL to MCO. I know Southwest offers a credit if you rebook at a lower fare, but I don't know that we'd have a use for the credit. So it there a disadvantage to having your departure/return flights booked separately? Thanks!!

I always book two one-way flights even if I book them at the same time. I read on here that it's easier to re-book when one of them goes down.

Good luck!

I've had to book both one way and in groups of 2 because Southwest system changes the price based on demand. If you are a party of 4 that triggers a higher price. Not fun!

We always book each direction and each person separately. That is the best way to get the best fares, and the best way to get any fare credits or Ding's for individual legs.

We also book each way separately. Makes it easier to get a credit if the fare drops. This paid off on my last trip when the first leg of my flight got cheaper....I was able to apply the credit to the return flight, which I hadn't yet purchased at that point.
