ETA: the 2025 point charges have been updated to reflect the name changes.

Just noticed that the room names have changed to match up with the 2026 point charges (standard -> resort and other similar things), Bay Lake isn't confusing at all....it now has 2 preferred categories with different points (theme park and lake both are labeled as preferred). Obviously a mistake as the Studios are Preferred / Theme Park.

I find it interesting they renamed the rooms at BCV, CCV, and BRV and appended "- Resort View" to them even though they were not labeled at Standard View to begin with.

Could it be to keep it consistent?

My upcoming BLT reservation still lists it as "Theme Park View". My RIV reservations list "Tower Studio - Resort View" and "Deluxe Studio - Resort View". This is going to be confusing; my brain associates "resort view" as a nice view of the resort, and not the view of the parking lot that is typical with the previous name of "standard view".

But VGF, oh my, Resort View in a Resort Studio. Maybe they should just merge the view name and room name together? Resort Studio vs Preferred Studio vs Lake View Studio? But you also have the original VGF Deluxe Studio with preferred & standard views.

This is really stupid and is going to cause problems. They shouldn’t have two categories with the same name and different points costs.

It's a mistake since the Studio category is named properly (resort / preferred / theme park). I reported it a couple of days ago but it hasn't been fixed.
