Hey y'all. It's been a while since I've been here, but we are taking a big group to WDW in January to celebrate my granddaughter's 4th birthday, and for a private wedding while there. Our group will include my family of 4 (me, husband, 2 teens), my daughter, her fiancé, her daughter, his parents, a brother, and a friend. Planning on giving the newlyweds their own place, while the rest of us (8 adults and the child) share a 3BR.
I really wanted to stay at Jambo for at least part of the time, but right now, the week we will be there (Sun-Sat stay), availability is super limited (as in nothing first day, then 3 open days, then 2 closed, then 1 open). My husband was only open to a split stay if we only had to move once. So if we stay there, would have to be just the last night.
Kidani's grand villas are available, but I am not sure if that is a good option. Can anyone tell me how big the walk-in shower is in the master bedroom? The door looks tiny to me in the pictures I've seen... and I'm not a small person.
BWV is the other place I've wanted to stay. It is currently available all but the last night.
SSR is available the whole time.
I have stayed at none of these before, so all would be new. I like BWV because of the proximity to Epcot and the Studios, plus the nighttime view of Illuminations. AKV is close to Animal Kingdom, so that is the pro there (besides the savannah view). Not sure what the pros are of SSR, other than it being something new.
What are y'all's thoughts? (And if any of you are holding those rooms at Jambo, why not give them back to me?
)
