Hi all - this is my first post. My husband and I are off to Orlando this summer, my first time there. No kids, just us, just for fun. Can anyone tell me if it is necessary to book our tickets for Disney, Universal, Sea World, etc., in advance, or should we wait till we get there? If we should book in advance, what is the best way of doing this? Thanks a million in advance.

If you have a Disney store near you they sell the 4 and 5 day park hoppers for less $ than you will pay at the gate. I'm not sure about the other two parks. My husband is a retired military reservists and we get discounted tickets through the military. There are lots of other ways to get discounted tickets, check out the website mousesavers.com. Welcome to the DIS! And, have a great trip!!

Hi, and Welcome tothe Dis!

Buying your tickets in advance will usually save yousome bucks AND time waiting in line when you could be in the parks.

iIf you belong to AAA, they have some good ticket prices for Disney and Universal. Check it out on the AAA website.

Also, for the latest and great deals go to mousesavers.com.

Welcome to the DIS!!!! Glad to see you here :) The link browneyes gave is a great one and I highly recommend reading through there and the one laceemouse suggested. Enjoy planning your trip and I hope you enjoy it here on the DIS :sunny:

Welcome to the Dis! I think you could save yourself a little by pre-ordering. Be sure to do a Will Call at the Disney parks. Saves on shipping costs.

You can order your tickets on-line on the Disney site and you can pick them up at one of the ticket booths at the parks (The "will call" locations). Saves you $12 a pass and you don't have to pay to have the tickets mailed to you! :)

I was just at Dis store last night. You can save up to $12 per ticket if you pre purchase at store. Then you will be able to walk right up to gate and bypass lines to purchase tickets. Those are 4 and 5 day Park Hopper passes and 4 and 5 day Park Hopper Plus. The plus means you can get into all the water parks as well as the 4 main parks. Since this is your 1st time, unless you really love waterparks, I would stick with 4 main parks and you still cant see all of that. We have been 4 trips and still havent seen everything. Enjoy your trip, and welcome to the DIS!!
