Anybody tried this.

Wondering if it will work and if any hidden costs

Just found out that if it does I can stay in Newport Bay with a 40% discount and free children in Feb half term.

We were going to go to Cheyenne for £514 but if I can get Newport for £560 I think its worth it.

Somebody please tell me its good news.

Personally I would ring your bank asap and ask about the cost to you of using your credit/ debit card to buy a holiday in Euros. Only then will you know if it is financially viable. Lots of people do book on the Irish site, but most seem to be from Europe so are using euros anyhow.

As for the practicalities of booking, it all gets emailed to you anyhow, so no problems there!

Let us know how you get on!

Theres a €10 admin fee as usual but thats it!
Just type in your address but leave the country as Ireland.
Its a good deal, what was SL coming in at?
:thumbsup2

Kizzabel are you referring to the 10 Euro admin fee that Disney charges you or an admin fee that a UK bank would charge for purchasing in Euros? It's just that I've heard of some folks who after they'd 'saved' by booking through a non UK site, were then stung by bank charges and exchange rates. I guess it depends on the bank.

As I work for a large bank I can use someones Euro account (pay them in pounds) so there will not be any charges.

Prices were coming up

For standard rooms staying in Feb half term for 3 nights

Price on Irish site

New York €704 (£614)
Sequioa €706.5 (£615)
Newport Bay €640 (£558)
Cheyenne €609 (£531)

I have booked the SQL with 40% over the Irish site with no problem. I´m in Germany and it works.

I have to pay 10,- € fee and the confirmation came via email.

No problem at all to book there.

Hi, I'v booked 2 rooms on the irish website for November, saved £160 over the british website, used my post office card which you do not get charged for using. Got all the confirmation through e-mail just waiting for November. Go for it I'v not had a problem.

Sorry for hijacking this thread with my own questions but......

Claire - which post office card is this? Is it a bank account card, or do you mean the prepaid cards you can put Euros on to?

Thanks

Hi, its the Post Office credit card, you can apply on-line on the post office website.
