Would you book your trip if you found out there is a large size Convention schedule for the weekend you plan on arriving or book it the following week? We planned on going a week in April but now heard they are having some kind of Convention there that weekend. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!!

April can be tough because of Easter and school breaks. I would consider those factors more than a large convention, as those folks often don't have a lot of time to go to the parks.

Why stay away from there? I was worried about the parks being crowded after the convention was over.

Coronado Springs has the facilities for conventions, and sometimes the resort is busy with convention guests.

Like PPs, I wouldn't let the convention scare you off from your dates. Look at other things on the calender like spring breaks, Easter, etc.

It will be crowded- There are conventions all the time at the Orlando Conv. center. We go every year in the spring to Cheer comp. which happen most weekends in the spring. I would plan according to your schedule. 1st of March would be my choice; 2nd choice February and then September. Hope that helps. I agree with Coronado Springs....

I am not sure if April is the only month you are wanting to go? With Easter being kind of early this year, I would think the second week of April and forward would be ok. We were there the last week of April this year, and did not have one complaint. We would definitely return in April in the future.
