Booking The Beak & Barrel Aug. 20th at 7pm EST!!

I said I was keeping my expectations low so as not to be disappointed when I didn't get a ressie. And as usual, I discovered the Mouse can still find a way to disappoint! First, the '7pm virtual queue' rule - which turned out to be more of a guideline than an actual rule...when I discover people were already lined up at 6:30pm/ Arrrr! Then, I get in, actually see times available on my day, but when I try to select them, AVAST there Matey! It was just a trick, and those times weren't actually available. Naive says you...deceived says I. My plans to have a rum drink in MK were scuttled...and all I can wonder is...why is the rum (and reservations) gone?

I completely forgot 👻, oh the shame of it.🫣

Will be on the site @ 7 am, 9/8 madly trying for our Xmas trip…even tho it’s the day we fly down for the said fall trip:crazy:

Congrats to those who “remembered” lol

If anyone ahem decides to cancel a dupe res on 9/14, give me a heads up:rolleyes1

Argh! I was in and trying to grab a reservation. Each time I selected a time and got to the page to validate any dietary restrictions, it would tell me that my session has timed out...even with the page header still displaying my name. Not sure if it is a glitch or what, but this has been really frustrating. I've given up and figure I'll try again for a future trip.

Well, kept refreshing and finally snagged a reservation for one! Worse comes to worse I will go alone and leave hubby outside :rotfl2: Hoping they will let me add him on when we get there, but not counting on it!
I was really limited to only being in MK for one day after 2pm this trip. I did the same thing and grabbed the only reservation I could for just 1 person. I figured worst case scenario, I’d go in for 22 minutes and then switch off with my sister 🤪

What kind of irks me is they posted that reservations would open at 7 EST, not you have to be in a queue 30 minutes before. I had looked at the ressie site probably around 5:27 local time. Looked the same as the days before. Didn't go back until just before 6, and saw the message.
It didn't show me the queue until dead on 6:30.

We are going to be cruising on DCL and have just one night at MK for MNSSHP so I get it! Not many options!

You are not alone… 😭

Anyone know the layout for the BandB? Me and some friends went for a party of 4 reservation. The times didn’t work, so we changed it to a party of 2 and it worked. I wonder if, assuming they get a table that could seat four, if they’d let us in with them. Or, if it’s a 45 minute time limit, if we could split it up the reservation with 2 at a time for 20 minutes each.
I highly doubt they will let you join a party of 2, or split the time. I would hope they keep it the way it is designed. Otherwise it will be a mess and not an enjoyable experience for anyone. It will be interesting hen a party of gets sat and they have 3 kids with them and they say the kids don’t count and will sit on their laps. I feel sorry for the CMs who will have to deal with that.

Congrats to all those that snagged a spot - and so sorry for those that didn't - keep trying; people will switch plans and openings will pop up. I am thankful to have grabbed one before birthday dinner, so I didn't even have to break out the laptop with the cake. Good thoughts for ADRs to open up for folks that still want them!!!

So just wondering, do we think this was done based on when people joined the queue, ie did the people who joined right at 6:30 get in first, or was this random??? I joined the VQ at 6:31 and got in at 7:12.

Also agree with everyone about signing up for something like mouse dining. Missed out on Geo-82 on our reservation day, but a few weeks later got the email that spots opened and we were able to snag a reservation.
I had 4 different devices and remote connections in queue. My original one was the one that got through. Before my others got through, my wife tried (and used constant refresh). She got through before my other 3 so I know it was random.

I'm in Paris for a vacation so I got up at 12:57 am and went to the page immediately. It gave me an option to book several minutes early and I got a time during MNSSHP on opening day. I was so confused as to why it was happening but also glad after reading like 20 new pages when I woke up this morning. I double checked my MDE and email to make sure I didn't dream it.

I'm sitting here this morning reading all these posts about being in a virtual queue and that was not how I got in and got my ressie. I had been in MDE earlier at like 6:00 and had modified another ressie and around 6:30 it kicked me out & made me log in again like I had timed out. I then got a message that I suppose was what everyone is talking about with BTMR but I thought the stupid site had just crashed again so I just signed back out again because I was afraid that it would just kick me out again at the worst time. So around 6:55 I logged back into MDE and clicked on make dining reservations. I selected my date range & filtered down to MK only then I turned on my Atomic Clock. Promptly at 7:00 I just scrolled down and there it was, populated with times. So I selected my #1 choice of days and grabbed 7:30. It didn't dump me into this VQ. So strange, right? I guess they just started the VQ for all those people who were sitting in there waiting & refreshing. 🤷‍♀️

I think it's pretty well documented in this thread that when you got in was random. Many people tried on different devices with different accounts and browsers at different times. People got in when they got in, you were lucky to do so right away, though the system did remember people so since you had gotten the BTMR page technically your account was in the queue at 6:30.

Even tho I logged out & back in?
