Booking tastings onboard?

Has anyone had much luck recently with booking tastings once onboard?
All the ones I'd like to book are sold out and I was wondering if they hold some reservations like they do with the character gatherings, Palo, Remy, etc.

We were on the July 27th sailing of the Fantasy and were able to get Mixology and a rum tasting when we got on board. We also checked on Monday (I think) and there were a couple of other tastings available at times we couldn't make later in the week. I think we could have got champagne and bourbon. None of these tastings were available before boarding, so they definitely held some openings for onboard booking.

I have gotten into a Mixology and a Champagne tasting on-board. It can happen. On another cruise they let me squeeze into a class too!

On our 4 night last week, there were definitely more tastings happening than were initially offered in the preboard selections. We didn’t try to get a spot in any of those because we had reservations for what we wanted. On a 7nt last year, on the Magic, we had no problem getting spots in tastings during the first few days of our cruise.

I'm not sure if they hold spaces in the tastings that are available to pre-book. However, I do know that more tastings are available once on board than you could've seen ahead of time. Just check that first day navigator that you get when you check-in, and it will give you the location to sign up for tastings.
