Booking swan through costco

Correct but with a rollout bed. With CBR, it is a bed. I wish Dolphin had a sofa. That would have been the choice if they did.

Just wanting to make sure you know the extra sleeper at CBR is not a regular bed. It is a small pull down. The rollouts at the Dolphin are actually larger. Either works for a child, but I just wanted to make sure you knew the 3rd sleeping surface at CBR is not a regular bed.

Yes, thank you. That bed would be for the 6 year old. He wants that bed badly. lol Not sure why. lol

Thank you.

I wanted to stay at the new Swan Reserve but I got voted down. I also wanted to stay at the Waldorf again and I got shot down. LMAO

I am planning on coming to Disney in October and staying at the Boardwalk Inn with a friend. With a military discount, we are able to save some money on the room and tickets. However, the Costco deal would save us about $600 for the same length of stay with tickets included. I have not stayed at the BWI in several years, and I have read reviews that this hotel is not all she used to be. Is it worth it to stay at the BWI over the Swan and Dolphin to save some money? The perks of staying at a Disney Resort for this particular trip would be Magical Express transportation (I know it's going away, but it should still be available for our October trip), option to purchase Boo Bash tickets in advance of the general public, and perhaps a more "Disney" atmosphere inside the BWI hotel. This will be my friend's first trip to Disney, so I want it to be special, but $600 bucks is $600 bucks. Fellow DisBoard people, what would you choose?

In my opinion, the Swan or Dolphin offer as much as BWI and my family does stay here over a Disney resort when it’s cheaper. We find getting our own transportation from the airport is easier than DME and we get to hotel faster and can stay at parks longer on checkout day. Now, they did recently change the bus transportation to the parks for the Swan/Dolphin and you get dropped off/picked up where the other offsite hotels do.

I feel like Swan and Dolphin get kind of shafted on the transportation side of things, they're the last stop for friendship boats - but I guess you can walk to HS or Epcot. How is their bus service?

I’ve stayed at S&D multiple times through Costco. It’s always worked well for me - no surprise charges. In the process of booking another trip through them now. I always select the contracted rate just in case something comes up, and by using the Citibank Costco card, travel insurance is included at no additional charge. Whether or not the cost is a bargain for you depends on when you’re going, how many in your party, and whether or not airfare is rolled in.
