Booking Return Trip Before Leaving?

Has anyone booked a return trip before leaving? We are going the end of June with the family but DH's 50th Birthday is in August and we were thinking of doing a return trip just the two of us. Has anyone booked their room before leaving? We are passholders and I would be looking for a APH Rate. Are there any advantages to booking before we leave? I know they were doing bounce-back rates at one time but haven't heard anything recently. How would we do this, would we just pick up the phone direct to resorts or should we do it at the front desk? TIA

Free dining is end of August.. not sure when your hubbys bday is though

Unless they are running a special promotion, there is no advantage to booking while at Disney.

One time they were running a promotion where you physically had to call from your resort room to get the special rate.

Another time they had a special phone # to call and a special reservations desk set up at a couple of resorts where you could book.

Those were limited time offers and are not currently running.

Just keep your eyes open here and see if there is some type of promotion that will be running while you are there.

Otherwise, just call Disney Reservation Center at your convenience for your August trip.
