booking question

I have 2 rooms from an on board booking that I am booking. We are using the other room for family members. My travel agent said that I have to be listed in one room and by dh has to be listed in the other room since we have 2 rooms. Can I change that so my family can be in 1 room and the other family in the other room? What will happen with room charges?
I know Disney doesn't really care where we will be sleeping, I am concerned about room charges, keys, booking excursions.

Each KTTW card can be set up with it's own credit card. Or you can moved people around on the reservation, as far as I know. I'm not sure that you "have" to be in one room, and your husband in the other.

If you keep everyone is separate rooms, you can get blank KTTW cards (room key only) for those people who are sleeping in a room they are not on the reservation for.

We booked three rooms two weeks ago while on board and only our names are on one room reservation. They other rooms have those that will be staying in them. And like PrincessShmoo said you can have the KTTW cards set up to their account and not yours.

It sounds like you originally set-up the OBB with 1 adult from your group as the lead on each reservation. It's not required to be set-up that way, but if that's how it was set-up trying to change the lead name could impact OBB benefits. Ask your TA to check with DCL... and to check again if she doesn't get the answer you'd like; sometimes the phone CMs are not well informed and a different CM may know how to do the change.

Also, keep in mind that if the other party are all new cruisers and you do move your DH out of that room, they will no longer have the same online check-in date as your room. That could impact PAT selection, port excursions, adult dining, meet & greet tickets, etc. This may be the reason your TA is advising you to split.
