Booking question.....

THanks Pops.

DebbieB, Deb and Bill, You are right. This is not a normal contract. The story goes like this. I would like to pay cash for my points. I knew I could have the money saved by next Feb. I came across this listing that posted for $60/pt. and the seller did not want to close until december of 2010 (I think he rents his points). I called **** and asked to push the closing date until feb 2011. I am paying closing cost and sept 2011 dues at closing.

Obviously the timing works to my advantage. I did do some research and found the price per point to be very good. I was afraid to ask for any help with closing cost in fear of ROFR. Still, Do you guys think I got a good deal?

Thanks

I think it is a good deal. I sold a small contract last year with a delayed closing because we had a reservation booked on it. When I called about listing it, I was told to put it up in April, even though we couldn't close until August. I was told that there are a lot of buyers out there like you, who need to hold off on purchasing and finding a great contract with the delay works out well for them.

We are considering doing an add on of BLT points direct with Disney. Since I can buy with my Visa card, 6 months, 0% interest, I will probably buy until September when the Fall semester starts so that by the time I have to fully pay, it will be February and I will have all the cash by then.

Good luck with ROFR!!!

I thought so as well, I signed this contract right after we finished up our vacation this year (about a month ago). I was not planning on taking another vacation this year. I also wanted to pay cash in which I have to save up. With all these factors, I think the timing was right for me. I admit I do hate sitting here waiting for Feb to come around. I know I will be glad I did when it comes down to it.

By the way....I did pass ROFR!!!! Go Us!
