Booking Question

We are in the process of deciding if we want to buy DVC and also how many points we will need.

Right now we have a DD who is 2 and another on the way due next month. So, right now we need a 1-bedroom for naps and nighttime sleeping.

My question is...

Can I book a M-F stay in a 1-Bedroom, and then book Sa-Su in a studio? Is that two different reservations or can it be done in one?

Also, if you stay at a Value for Sa-Su, will Disney transfer your luggage for you if you have M-F stay at a DVC resort?

Each type of accomodation will be a different reservation and you will need to check out and back in. Some people find this difficult but we just plan a non park day for the day we change or go to the new resort early in the am and check in even if the room is not ready and then go on about our day until it is. Disney will transfer your luggage to any other Disney resort for you. You need to notify bell services to pick it up and that you want it moved to your next resort. If you do the 1 BR on S-F and the studio on F-S you may get lucky and be able to get into the studio early so you don't have to store the luggage but it is not something you can count on. You need to be prepared to be without a room from 11 to 4 just in case. We never went back to the room for naps as the children always slept well in stollers and we just found a quiet shady spot and enjoyed some people watching or book reading while they got the rest they needed so being without a room for part of the day was never a problem for us but it might be for some.

You can stay in any combination of DVC units that you have the points for. It would be a separate reservation if you move between types of units but all can be booked in one phone call. Luggage transfer is available between all the Disney and DVC resorts.
