Hi all,

Have tried to find this info but have had no luck. Looking to book the Wild Africa Trek at AK or Keys to the Kingdom at MK for our March trip. I know I need to call but just curious as to whether those open up at 180 days or something else?

Many thanks

Yes, it's 180 days plus 10. You'll need to call to set it up. I tried to book tour before the 180 days, was told to call back.

Be prepared to book Keys at the 180 I did not know that and waited till 60 days. I ended up having to call every single day until i finally got 2 slots in the same tour

We booked the KTTK tour at 60 days and was able to get it and we were a party of 8 but I would definitely do it earlier next time to make sure we did get it. We just did it last week and it was a great tour. The cast member that we had giving the tour was Jocelyn and she was fantastic. She knew so much information about Disney and you could tell she loves Disney. I would recommend the tour to everyone. We all loved it.

I tried to book Keys to the Kingdom at 120 days in advance. I am going to be in Orlando three days, Nov. 11, 12, and 13 and it was not available for any of those. I even as a compromise was willing to book the Marceline to the Magic Kingdom, the shorter version, but there was no availability either on any of the three days. // I was initially pretty disappointed, as I have been to Orlando many times and it was the one new and different thing for me to do on the trip.

My replacement for that MK day and the tour is now DHS, a park I have not been back to in a long time. It took me a while to get over my initial disappointment, but I am now excited about the mini trip anyway. It's been eight years since I've been to DHS -- other parks I have visited more recently. Anyway, I am now excited to be going anyway. Just saying I would book early. // Orlando is just a fun back drop to spend some time with my family, and I had to readjust my attitude and look at the mini trip that way. There were other tours besides these two that were available, but I wasn't personally interested in any of them. Well I did think the Wild Africa Trek looked cool and have heard great things about it, but it's a little too rich for my blood.

Anyway, have a great time. I like the sound of your tour choices obviously. Can I come?

LOL ..sure, come along! I am actually traveling with our boys who are in their mid-20s and their girlfriends as well as some friends of ours. I'm hoping to get a few of the young folk interested in joining me on Wild Trek and I've offered to "contribute" towards the cost of the tour but I'm not paying for the whole thing (super expensive!) So they may pass, and will see if I end up going at all. I think one of the girlfriends would like to do KTTK but trying to carve out five hours out of our parking-hopping schedule for her to do that could be a challenge

Have fun at DHS. It's actually still one of my favorite parks even though it's in the middle of a transition!
