Booking Palos for Brunch

Today is my 75 day mark so I have been online booking excursions etc.

However, I wanted to book Palo's for brunch but brunch and high tea is shaded out. The only available reservations are for dinner. Does that mean it isn't available on the cruise or are they released later on???

It means that all of the available on-line time slots are taken. However, if you keep checking, sometimes a time slot will open up as people cancel. But if it doesn't, have no fear because you can sign up for Palo brunch when you board the ship as they always keep some reservations available for that purpose. They also maintain a wait list.

That means that there are no more resies left online, which is not uncommon at the 75 day mark. They do hold 50% of the Palo resies for onboard booking but some of those are reserved just for concierge guests so not the entire 50% will be available when you board. On the Magic get to the port early and go directly to RNBD after boarding to try to get a resie for Palo brunch/tea. People do cancel so you can check online until your cruise and sometimes resies do open up.

That's incredible, as I did my on line reservation at 7.05am local time (00.05 EST) and they had all gone!!!

As I'm taking the Disney transfer to the Ship, I don't think there is much chance of getting there early.

Oh well, another good reason to go ona another cruise and get the Castaway Club perks so I can book Palo's a bit earlier!!

You need to remember that Castaway Club members get to book at the 90-day mark (versus 75-day for first-time cruisers), so it was likely that the on-line reservations were already taken by the Castaway Club members.

Our 90-day mark for our August Sailing was one week ago, and all of the on-line Palo Reservations were booked within 24 hours.

we missed making Palo brunch reservations on one of our cruises -- put our name on the wait list (we also took DCL transfers from MCO and did not arrive "early" by any means). The evening before our requested brunch we got a call that Palo had an opening.

So, even if you get there "late", it doesn't hurt to ask

I think that is what I will do. I don't want dinner as I want to eat together as a family so it's not the end of the world..... But it would be nice.

I think I will just try once on board:)

Palo bookings usually disappear within 5-10 minutes of opening online at the 90 day point so they were likely already gone before midnight at 75 days.

What time do the online reservations open (or are available to book) at the 90 day mark. I read somewhere it was midnight? Is this true?

Yes that is true. We just booked our reservations for our september cruise this past Saturday night.

Thanks, I thought I read this. We've only cruised once, so it's all still very new to me.

mmm, that's cheered me up no end:lmao:

I'm with you. :worried:

I missed out on brunch ressies even at 90 days out.
My bad since I didn't get final payment in until late that afternoon.
I know... all the obsessive planners will be shocked that I missed such an important deadline. :guilty:

Hopefully we'll both be able to snag a spot though.
I plan to get on the waiting list when we board and then follow up with a phone call or two during the week.
Working off the squeaky wheel theory here. ;)

Good Luck!

Remember, it's midnight Eastern Standard Time. Adjust accordingly if you're in another zone. :thumbsup2

Palo's brunch was gone within a few hours when we tried to book for our August cruise. Also we needed it for 5 people and I don't think it is doable online. So we booked our dinners and will book brunch when we get on the ship as we did two years ago with no problem, even got a choice of days.
