Booking Palo for a group?

How do you book Palo for a group of people sailing together who have different Castaway Club levels? We are sailing with friends. It's their first Disney cruise and our fourth. I linked our reservations, but will I have to wait until their booking date? Or should I book dinner for the 2 of us at the Silver date and then try to change it to 4 when it's their date?

You do have to wait until their time opens. I usually book for myself when I can and then try to add the others on. Sometimes I can, sometimes I can't. If I can't do it online beforehand, then I go when on the ship.

I think you are saying a group of 6 ( as opposed to a large group of 20 or something). When the earliest window opens, try to book the time you want for the largest amount of people it will allow ( say if you had an adult child who wasn't going or something). Anyway, book that reservation and when subsequent windows open, you can try to book at or around the same time for each group. And you can check for ability to modify the reservations to add and cancel once all the windows are open. Personally, I get nervous canceling any of the high demand things with the intention of immediately rebooking. When you board, go to Palo and they will help you. I think if you have a reservation for 2 and want it to be for 6, they can usually help you with that or maybe adjust the time a bit. Even better if any of the group has other reservations about the similar time. Just be a little flexible and I don't think it would be a problem at all unless you are on some whackadoo one of a kind itinerary but then if you got the reservation in the first place they can adjust to make room. :sunny:

Yes, go ahead an book yours at the silver date and then book them at their date. If you can't get the same time don't worry. Book what's available. Then when you get on board go to the location noted in the Navigator (if its the Dream/Fantasy its usually the podium outside Meridian) and ask them to combine the two reservations.

Oh, and is there room for Val & I to join you? :sail:

Following along with this, has anyone had experience with a group of 7?I was able to get the other 5 booked for a brunch on the last seaday, but mine is booked for the first sea day. I'm going to talk with them as soon as I board, but anyone know the largest table size in Palo?

Palo can accommodate large groups. We've dined with 10 and 12 at various times.

We each booked at around the same times as each other. We were then able to cancel and rebook for most of us - one group of two wasn't but they had a time close to it. They then went to Palo's and asked to merge them, which they did for us. That was for dinner and they put us in the private room at the back. We tried the same thing for brunch but there isn't a table for 8 other than the separate room which was already booked. So they scheduled us at the same time but put the one group of two at a table just near ours so that we were at least able to communicate.
