You are correct. We used this one hour advantage to book a grand villa at OKW for next Thanksgiving and it worked out great. Be sure you have in front of you all parties names, ages and address(minors included). This caught us off guard and slowed the process.
Later that day we went to make a minor change to this reservation. We had requested near HH and wanted to drop it to say "anywhere". They were already booked up and we had to be waitlisted for this change, they went that quick. We later decided to drop the waitlist and go with what we have but that is a different story that worked out better for us...smjj

I used the 8:00 online booking window to secure both an OKW GV and an AKV 2 bedroom savanna view at the 11 month booking window for Christmas. Well, actually just before Christmas. We check into AKV 12/15 and out on 12/18 and into OKW on 12/18 and out on 12/23. We are driving, and we want to be home by Christmas Day since everyone needs to be back at work on the 26th,


FYI, I don't think I needed the 11 month window for either of those, because there was never an issue with either the GV or the 2 bedroom savanna view.
