Booking one discount & then switching?

I'm currently planning for a December trip with my sister : I was looking at the discount from last year around that time. I know that this is not the best way to "guess" what's going to happen with discounts, but I'm just a planner and want to account for all possibilities.
If we were to book a Free Dining discount when it is available for December, but then after booking, a room discount becomes available, can we switch our discount from FD to Room? Or would we have to cancel the one and book again?

You would not have to cancel. As long as you are going from a package booking to another package booking the money can transfer between the two. If you switched from a free dining package to a room only reservation (meaning a reservation with no tickets), then you would have to cancel and rebook with a new deposit.

You can change promotions but they cancel and rebook(that is what they did with me). You might not be able to go back to the old one either.
