Booking onboard

I know when booking onboard you have to sail again within 24 months to take advantage of the discount and OBC, but is it 24 months exactly to the date? meaning if I was on board and booked say 15th June 2016 would I have to sail by 15th June 2018 or would I get till the end of June 2018?

Correct, it is 24 months to the exact date you made the booking. That's why many people wait until late in the cruise, as it may give a few extra days to that 24-month deadline.

How does it work if you have a favorite TA you want to use and the dates you want are not released yet?

If you are using the same TA , he/she will be noted as your TA of choice already. And they will send notification via email to the TA that you have created a placeholder booking. There will be a phone number to call to make the actual reservation when you are ready to.

Just make sure your TA receives it. My placeholder got messed up so they put me down as the TA for some reason (and the person sailing). I ended up just dropping DCL an email to get it changed and they sorted it all for me a few days after it was booked.

Oh and DCL works it that you would have to start your cruise on or before the 14th June 2018 from your example. For mine I booked on the 27th September 2015 and the date on it said 26th September 2017.
