Hello,

Has anyone compared the price of booking on board, to the prices with discounts?

Do I assume it is cheaper to book on board?

We want to go May 2005, and will sail in Dec, 2004. Should I wait and book on board?

Thanks,
Kathy

Just returned from 4 day in early March '04, and booked on borad for 7 day in early '05. Found the onboard prices to be slightly better than discounted bookings on the web, and the number of choices are much better.

U CAN BOOK Through DISNEY ON BOARD AND THEN SWITH resevation to what ever travel agent u want to get any other discounts for example We use DREAMS UNLIMITED and we got the price from Disney and then transfered our reservation to Dreams and got another discount of $50.00 dollars from them....
the discount depends on the price of the cruise....

It is all in the early booking rates. The onboard rates are 10% discount off the current rates. So, if you sail in December and want to book for May, you will be paying 10% off the rate as of December. (You do get the $200 onboard credit)

If you book now you'll pay the deposit ($250 /each) and get a better early booking rate. If the rate onboard is better, you can always rebook onboard, get the 10% discount and the credit.

If it were me.... I would book now and see what the rates are in December. My last experience told me the rate for my cruise went up over $1,400 in less than 12 months.
