Booking in June for late Aug?

We have ressies in Aug at POFQ, but just decided to purchase DVC at BCV. We're working with a reseller, and are hoping praying we find a matching resale in the next few weeks. If, by some miracle, we are able to find something, pass ROFR and close by mid June, what are our chances of booking ANY DVC studio/1BRs (willing to change resorts up to 3 times)?

Since we'll be new members, we'll be dying to pool hop and stay at at least one DVC, but would we better off banking this years points and keeping our POFQ ressie?

Might be possible, but you might have limited availability, meaning moving from one resort to another or one size room to another. But pool hopping will be blacked out for Labor Day, so if you are really late in Aug, you might not be able to pool hop. With your POFQ reservation, you might be able to get free dining if they offer it for moderate resorts. You won't get free dining with DVC points.

But all these developer points weren't floating around out there last year at that time.

We're in the same boat. We can't close on our BCV resale until the end of May as the seller is travelling, and are interested in booking a trip for the last week in August/Labor Day weekend. Hope something will be left. Has anyone booked for that week lately and if so what is the availability like? We'd love to find a studio anywhere. Thanks.
