Hi,

I'm thinking of getting annual passes for me and DD because we're planning on going for 5 days in November and I'll probably want to add a couple of trips next year so I thought it would be the best thing to do especially with the shareholder discount :yay::yay::yay:

I would also want to stay on site, I was wondering, can you book one of the hotels only? I'm sure this would be available but I haven't been able to find anything about this online.

Thank you in advance!

Kara

Yes you can book a room with breakfast without park tickets. You will get a discount on the prices to with your annual pas (how much depends on the pas). The prices are only available by calling the reservations line (the normal one you use for your package bookings which is on the website). They differ a lot so there are no "basic" prices to go on. Yet basically, when the package prices are higher (Christmas, arrival on Saturday, new year's eve, ...) so will the room only prices be. :goodvibes

Thank you! I thought it would work like that with the different prices. I'll give them a call when I need to book for November then and see what it will be.

You mention shareholders as well as AP discount? Is it AP you want? Shareholders discount isn't great for rooms (10% off and only for 2 nights max) and can't be combined with AP discount.

If you get a Dream AP you get up to 35% off room rates but a lot of people find that the package 'deal' prices are cheaper than the AP rates.

We managed to get a mixture of AP and package rates for our last trip (two reservations). Initially I had a really good AP rate for 5 nights at the Hotel New York but upgraded to the DLH and there weren't any AP rates available when I booked.

They aren't always available and seem to drop on and off a various times which is a bit odd. It's always worth a try though :).

I'd read somewhere about getting a discount on annual passes if you are in the shareholders club, I do need to check that though, that's what I meant by that, it just makes the passes even more appealing

That's funny with them being only being available sometimes, I might try and see if it's worth it for when we want it then, thank you :goodvibes

I thought it might be good value to have them if we were able to book rooms at a reasonable rate but if it's going to work out cheaper for the package then it might not be worth it, I'm just confusing myself more now :rotfl:

If your DD is aged under 7 and you always want to stay onsite, to be honest you'll probably find that booking a package will work out better than buying annual passes and booking room only onsite. This is because under 7s go free all year round on package bookings at the onsite hotels.

Also if your DD is aged under 7 and you really want to go down the annual pass route, get them from cemultiavantages because your DD's will be free when you buy your own (discounted price) one.

There is really no advantage to you buying your annual passes using shareholders discount, unless your DD is already aged 7 or older.

I think Elaine has helped you now :).

Sorry, I probably read it incorrectly, I thought you were talking about using them both for rooms.

Yes it is odd that the RO rates seems to come and go - I only know this because when we booked our first reservation (4 nights, as the 5th was fully booked) we couldn't get an AP rate for the hotel. When I was able to book the 5th night (a few days before we travelled), I was able to get an AP rate :confused3. I guess it's a bit like airplane tickets, they only have so many at that price.

We got our APs through CE Multi - they were a great saving - saved 150 euros on mine, DH and DD1s (she is 7), and DD2 was free! With our room bookings and the money we spent on our last trip (and the money we saved on the actual APs), they have paid for themselves already :cool1:. We did get them before they put the price up though which was a stroke of luck - still, they are cheaper than buying in the park!

DLPDreams I think Elaine has helped you now .

She'll be 7 in April, so I think for November it's going to be best to book the package rather than getting the annual passes then after that look into possibly having one. Thanks for letting me know where to get them from, I didn't think of other places to get them! :goodvibes
