I'm just exploring my options for the next trip after the next trip :goodvibes ...

My husband has lots of aeroplan points which we tend to use for our flights. I just wanted to compare that to a Disney package from aeroplan. The website lists point values per night stay at a Disney hotel, and they list point values for "off-site" 7-day hopper passes. Has anyone ever contacted aeroplan travel to see that if they book the free stay at the hotels, you can add DDP or "onsite" passes. And if so, what were the point rates quoted?

I've never stayed onsite because I don't see the monetary value in it ... but if it was free on points (even if it wasn't the best use of points) ...

Thanks :)

:jumping3: bumping - Anyone booked non-air travel with aeroplan? :jumping3:

We booked a 3 night stay at POP resort in Disney and it was great, really easy, they just send you the reservation # and you give it to the desk when you check in. Really liked staying onsite, you don't have to pay for parking, get EMH, etc and even the value hotel was good - I considered it free so that made it great, the room was too small and basic to pay for though I would rather stay at Nickleodeon if I were offsite and paying good money.

Thanks for the reply :) Had you stayed off-site before? If so, how does Disney compare?

We've always stayed offsite in a suite or condo and am concerned about being in one room. I'll get over that, but my husband travels a lot and usually stays in a Hyatt or Hilton ... I'm afraid POP may be too "motel 6". Everyone says you have to stay Disney ... is it worth it with points, or if you could stay free at Doubletree DTD, would you go there instead?
