Booking FP+ with split stays

We will be at WDW this fall, after a 3 year break, and we have a split stay - 6 nights POP followed by 5 nights POFQ. I am wondering about booking our FP and am thinking the split stay may not have been a wise move. Last split stay, we could only book our FP for 60 days for the first half, and then 5 days later book the rest for our second half of the trip. BUT, I just saw this post from Mesaboy 2. Des this mean I can book all of our FP’s at once, when our 60 day window opens up?

  • As before, for multiple back-to-back onsite stays at Disney-owned resorts (or any resorts that qualify for the 60-day advance window) the booking window will open 60 days before the check-in date of the first stay and extend until the checkout date of the last stay.

I did a split stay in September and I was able to make FPs for the entire stay 60 days out.

Yes, you can book all FP at once 60 days out. (We've planned split stays twice over the past 15 months with no problems.)
The split stay does impact your ADR window though, but we didn't find that to be a huge deal.

We did a split stay in October and not only booked all our FPs at once but also our ADRs. I believe I had to call for the ADRs, but the FPs were no problem.

Thanks so much for the replies! I feel much better about our split stay now. During our last visit, we did our first split stay ever, and I had great difficulty getting FOP, but did manage to get it twice on the last day of each segment. I have yet to see TSL or SWGE, but I think FOP is just the best ride ever! As far as ADR’s, if we don’t get some, its no big deal. It is pretty hard to go hungry at WDW, given all the TS, CS and snacks. I was eligible for 5 days of free dining for the first 5 days of our trip but gave it up to get the discounted Canadian ticket offer. I don’t regret it. Pre-planning FP’s along with an ADR every day would have meant for a very structured vacation, I think. I am not so proud to admit that sometimes our lunch was a dole Whip!

Yes fastpass can be booked for the whole stay at 60pus length of total onsite stay. I had 3 different resorts and had no problem. But restaurants can only booked at 180 plus each hotel stay. So you will have 2 booking windows for restaurants

That's good! We're doing a split stay in September. Hopefully we won't have an issue with trying this with AP's.
