Booking FP+ question

We have a group of 8 going to WDW in December. It's out first trip since the new FP+ program. I am registered on the MDE website and have entered everyone in my group on my website. My question is this: To make it more likely that we can get the FP+ reservations we want, can more than 1 member of my group book FP+ reservations at the 60-day point? We are there for 7 days, and I'm worried if I have to do this by myself at midnight, it will take too long and availability will be limited. For example, can I book Sun-Wed, while my sister books Thurs -Sat for our whole group? Thanks , in advance , for sharing your knowledge!
