Booking FP+ for people arriving on different days?

We're staying at AKV in October and have used DVC points to make reservations for a 2bdrm for our family or four and my parents and a studio for my sister and BIL. We'll be there Wed-Wed and my sister and BIL will join us Sat-Wed. I'm planning to book our FP+ on our 60 day mark, but I won't be able to book them for my sister until their 60 day mark, correct? Should I go ahead and book them for the 6 of us who will be there the whole week and then hope we can get them around the same time for my sister and BIL? Or should I only book Wed-Fri and then book the ones for Sat-Wed all at the same time? We're not needing them for anything like A&E. Any we might have difficulty getting if I wait?

The short answer is that if you don't care about A&E it probably won't make any difference. All others should be around at 58 days or at 60 days out.

But I don't know how a split stay with different start dates would work. I would try at the 60 day mark for the first room, and who knows maybe it will let you make all the FPs for everyone (since everyone is on the same reservation).

I just did this on Monday (our 60-day mark), and I was able to make FPs for everyone linked to me in MDE, even though some of them are joining us later and hadn't hit their 60-day mark yet.

I did the same thing when we hit our 60 day mark last month. Since everyone was linked to my MDE we just did all the fast passes and whoever is there will use them. Some of us have annual passes and other had regular park hoppers and we had no problems since everything was linked.

For those of you who have had the situation like OP (we have this situation too - we arive 2 days before my inlaws) - were family members linked through your account only, or were they "friends" that had their own account and your friend requested each other to make plans on your account?

I guess I'll find out in a few days with either way. Our 60 day mark is Tuesday, but my inlaws is technically Thursday. They have their own MDE account, but we have linked and accepted requests to be friends, so I have been making dining for all of us using my account only.

In our case, everyone involved has their own account, and we had to be linked via friend requests.
