Booking for 2017

I always thought that on the Disney website, you could book up to a year in advance. I believe the last time I booked for my September trip was during the previous September. I checked for the heck of it on their website and it seems that they only let you go up to Dec. 2016. Did something change?? Thanks!

No. You can call and book room-only 499 days in advance, but cannot book 2017 online until room rates are announced. You will pay a very high deposit if you book by phone in advance of the rate announcement.

They do not have pricing for 2017 yet.

Nothing has changed, your timing was just right in the past. The new rates usually come out sometime June-August for the following year, so the rates would have already been released in September of the year you booked for the following September. To book a package or book online, you have to wait until the new rates come out; however, you can only book RO now by calling. You will be quoted the highest rate for 2016, which will automatically be adjusted once the new rates are released. If you want a package, it's probably best to wait until the new rates are released. If you book RO now and change to a package later, the RO will have to be cancelled/refunded and a package booked, requiring a new deposit. Since RO and packages are different reservation systems, money paid toward one cannot be applied to the other. HTH .

I think the rates for DL come out around the same time as WDW.
