Booking FF Miles for DD on American help.

How do I do this?

I want to book a ticket in Dd's name out of Pensacola to MN using my FF on American. . I check the AA website and there are ff seats available for Sept 1.

I don't think the website allows me to do this. Does anyone know for sure?
I think there's an extra fee for booking by phone.

Yes, you can book FF tickets on AA.com

You must log in with the FF number and password of the person who has miles available.

On the right hand side where you plug in dates and airport codes, there is a box above that you check for AAmiles flights.

Then follow through and you can pick the dates and how many miles you want to use.

I'm pretty sure you can do it online if you're registered on the site with your AA#. If you're not registered, it's easy enough to get set up. Log in, go to Reservations, Book Flights and select the AAdvantage Award tab. (You also can do it from the main menu booking window by checking the Redeem AAdvantage Miles box). Enter the dates and whatever other parameters you want and it will show you what flights are available. You'll have to make a few selections and click continue to go through a few windows until you get to the section where it allows you to enter the passenger name. Your name will be filled in by default, but you can enter another name.

FYI: There is a $10 charge for redeeming miles for tickets even online, although I think there's a higher charge to do it on the phone.

I know how to book the ticket, not sure if I could put another person's name as ticketholder on the site.
