booking FD with 1 day pass and upgrading?

Ok I see alot of people are just getting a one day pass when they book the free dining. Is this because then they don't have to pay as much 45 days before and instead you just up grade to hoppers and more days once there?

If you do this does it cost more on your tickets or the same and where can you upgrade them at?

I booked the one day base tix b/c I am an annual pass holder and that's the way we have to book it, I don't know about anyone else, but that's what my excuse is.

And... I suppose it could make someones package alot cheaper and give them more time to pay for the tix.

For example if you book the whole package, you have to have it all paid off 45 days before arrival. So if one books a pkg with a one day ticket they can upgrade when they get to the resort and add the hoppers and extra days, therefore allows more time to pay for the remainder of the trip? I hope this makes sense?

It does if you end up doing that is the cost of upgrading the same it would of cost if you paid for it 45 days ahead or does it cost more to upgrade once at the resort?

I think that the price is the same regardless of if you book all days now or upgrade once you get there. We have upgraded our tix in the past and it was easy as one two three...we had originally bought 6 day park hopper plus water parks and realized quickly that we needed to add more days...it was quick and easy. I can see how it would help to give some more time to pay for entire trip...good idea really, I would do it if I had to buy tickets for this trip.
