Booking extras for next Summer & HB vouchers question

Just going through the online booking and it doesn't come up with any additional extras such as Half board vouchers. Is it because it's too far ahead to book them or will I be able to book them when I call.

My house phones broken and I don't want to waste a call on my mobile before I'm able to book as costs a fortune!

Also,

I've never bought the HB vouchers before as they don't seem worth it from a savings point of view but as I'm not working at the moment and so we need to pay for as much as possible ahead of our trip I'd like to add them.

I know that you can use them as face value in restaurants not covered but are there any exceptions? I'd like to use them for Sunday brunch at the Steak house and for the Quick menu at Walts but i don't want to get there and find that those aren't included.

Thanks as always! :)

As regards adding them on online youre right - its too early.
I agree as regards its not a great saving but the peace of mind of knowning you only have to buy drinks, especially when the budgets a bit tighter, is priceless.

You will have to ring at some stage but I cant tell you when sorry :confused3

The only exclusions are Rainforest Cafe, Mc Donalds, King Ludwigs and Planet Hollywood.

:thumbsup2

People have had problems in the past using them for the steak house sunday brunch as there is alcohol included with the meal and that causes a problem with the vouchers for some reason.

You can add the half board vouchers at any time right up to a few days before you go.

Just to add, if you are shareholders there is no point buying any of the half board vouchers, because you get a straight 15% discount on your table/buffet service meals using your shareholder card, and you don't get anything like a 15% saving on any of the half board deals nowadays.

Ive got a shareholders card - so what I did was roughly price up Table service/Buffet meal costs, then discount the lot by 15% and have put that amount aside.

Another suggestion, l also have the money now, but will find it difficult to scrape togther extra cash come next June. I am going to put 500euros on a currency card within the next few days and use that to pay for our food, also use our shareholders to get discount as I reckon its easier to faff with that than faff with HB vouchers and paying the rest. Might go horribly wrong, but that's my current plan!

see it's the putting it aside bit I'm not very good at!

May do shares rather than HB then, thank you guys, I've been away too long! planning must begin! woo hoo!

I have thought about buying shares before so may ask DH and my parents for pennies towards shares for Christmas this year! and it does make sense. Especially as the Sunday Brunch is a must for us and the reason we're travelling so early on a Sunday morning! We did it last time as I'd heard so many good things on here and it was one of the highlights of the entire trip.

Well, as I posted the original post my DH called to say time off was fine and so we're all booked up!!

:cheer2::yay::banana::cool1::dance3:

I'm beyond excited! We haven't been this year (after 2 trips last year!) and I'd thought the magic may have worn off a little but oh no!!

Ooooh! tell me more about the Sunday brunch:goodvibes We're going to be arriving on a Saturday so I'm rather tempted - especially if I get my APs and can get a discount:woohoo:

Sunday brunch gets a big thumbs-up from me - I reviewed the experience here (and completely forgot to take photos of the food :rotfl:) -

you can use either shareholders 15% discount or AP 10% discount here.

I really meant to do a review but I seem to get post Disney blues once we're back and forgot to do any reviews/trip reports, anything!

Elaines review pretty much sums up our thoughts too. It was without a doubt our favourite meal (although jointly with my Walts meal for me) as afamily.

Oh the dauphinoise potatoes.... mmm I've tried to replicate, never works! may have to sneak into the kitchen next time!

and the desserts are so good! especially the Steakhouse strawberry cake!

I'm getting hungry now thinking about it all!

We got there around 12.00 and had Pluto and Daisy all to ourselves for ages! I was actually getting food whilst they entertained the kids and Daisy blew kisses to my husband! lol.

Amazing, I would 100% recommend it.

We shall be arriving around 11.00 just enough time to stretch our legs before a fantastic start to our trip!
