booking extra night for early check in

We are coming down for ten nights in October. Our flight arrives very early in the morning on our first day. Is it possible to book one extra night at the beginning of the trip in order to ensure that our room will be waiting for us immediately upon arrival on our first morning. We would be arriving at Disney around nine am. Is this something you would advise Member Services of at time of booking.

I was also considering booking a value for two nights to allow for use of the room upon arrival in Florida. I could add the quick service dining plan to this and use the dining credits for our first day. I don't think that makes much sense though, considering one extra night with DVC is only 25 points.

Please advise.

Yes you can definitely do that but just need to advise the resort that you won't be arriving until the following morning after your reservations starts. I would tell Member Services, do online check in and note it there (not sure that is possible, I haven't seen the online checkin form recently) as well.

While I haven't done it with a DVC stay, on the online checkin page for POR I was able to indicate an early-in-the-morning checkin time.

IF flying into MCO you might want to check out the airport Hyatt - some have been about to get really fantastic rates but even an OK rate might be worthy.
