booking excursions for upcoming cruise while onboard?

Does anyone have any experience booking excursions for an upcoming cruise while onboard? Can I even use the app to book them since I'll be using it for the cruise that I'm on? I'll be onboard the Destiny when my booking window opens for excursions for my next cruise. Any help anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Supposedly, you can access several Disney sites using the ship’s WiFi. I tried to book LL that way and never could get the page to load.

I would either pay for the wifi or entrust a friend, family not sailing or your TA to book them for you.
