My family and I are doing a short weekend trip for the Springtime surprise race and are trying to squeeze in as much as we can over a couple days. Our flights leave tomorrow at 8 am and arrive at 10am, and we have reservations to visit Epcot.

Our main priority is getting on Cosmic Rewind, so I understand we should be ready to buy ILL right at 7AM, and to be safe for moderate delays, we will be buying a later time slot (5-6pm).

However, we also want to get on Remy. Does it make sense to buy Genie+ in this case? Can you book normal Genie+ rides for later in the day (4-8pm) right at 7AM, or do you have to wait until each time slot before that sells out and try to time it perfectly? If we can book a Genie+ for later in the day (say, 7pm), does that mean we can't book any other ride until we use the 7pm (i.e. couldn't book soarin when we get to the park around ~1)? Appreciate any responses!!

If you were able to get Remy for a later time at 7 am and who knows if you could, you would be able to book another ride 2 hours after the park opens the another two hours after that. I think Epcot stays open until 9 that night so it's entirely possible that if you get to the park around 1, you could pretty much ride most of the rides without paying for Genie +.

You can’t pick your time slot for regular Genie+ LL rides but you can modify them if you don’t like the original time slot you got. So you could book Remy first thing and then watch the return times tick up (which happens pretty quickly) and modify it to a return time that better suits your day.

You can book more Genie+ LL rides every 2 hours after park opening. Canceling and rebooking would reset the two hour clock, but modifying does not.

Based on your schedule I'd buy the LL right at 7 which lets you pick your time. And then book Remy right after since you're fine if the Remy return time is later in the day (and you can modify if you still want to make it even later). Remy goes quick but you'll be fine right after the ILL purchase. As others have said, take whatever you get for Remy right then and check periodically for a time you want. You'll be able to make your 2nd 2 hours after park opening as long as you only modify your Remy reservation (as poster above said - always modify - never cancel and rebook). No matter what time you have reservations for - the maximum time before being allowed to make your next reservation is 2 hours. (Can be less if you do ride a booked ride before the 2 hour window is up).

Thank you so much for these responses! I had no idea about the ability to modify, sounds like we will buy and snag whatever remy we can get and go from there. Thanks all!!
