I am thinking about booking the Disneyland Resort Express to the Grand Californian from LAX. I know I can do this on a website, but do I do payment through there as well? Someone mentioned you can just show up as well?

How does this process work, or what is the easiest/best?

I just booked it a few days ago for SNA to GCH... yes, you can pay on the website when you book it, check for coupon codes from LAX. I’ve usually gotten 5-10 dollars off per person from LAX with a code (took some Googling) but for some reason it isn’t even an option from SNA, although it’s already cheaper, I guess because it’s a shorter drive... but yes, you can pay with a credit card when you book

Thank you!

And you can also pay when you go on the bus (no cash though)...
But I would also buy in advance...( less stress... just hand the ticket agent your tickets and you are good to go...)

That's my thought. Less stress and easier, but I am about 5ish months out and wonder if I should wait to book a bit closer.

I used the Disneyland Express from 2012-2016 and noticed a significant decrease in service from them. When we did use them, I booked the tickets ahead of time. But the last time we used them in 2016 they didn't seem very friendly and for the return trip the bus was almost an hour late picking us up. Fortunately we were leaving for the airport way earlier than we needed to so it didn't impact our flights but I don't know that I will use them again. We are going to try Lansky in October. I am looking forward to not having to fit my plans into their schedule.

We've done it both ways. We've never been there when it was so crowded that it would have been a problem showing up without a ticket and buying there. Keep in mind that it often only runs 1x an hour, so if you just miss a bus, you'll be waiting an hour for the next one and these tickets are non-refundable. For that reason, we waited until we got there to buy last time. Just didn't want to risk waiting an hour at the airport for a bus.
