Hi all,

Disney is coming out about £8 cheaper than Virgin for the exact same holiday. Is there any advantages with booking direct with Disney vs with Virgin?

Thanks

The only one I can think of is that you'll get your package linked to MDE easily and without having to contact Virgin to get your reservation number.
Might also be easier to make room requests/add celebrations etc if booked direct.

I used to book packages all the time with Virgin, now do direct myself.

There isn't much difference, but it is easier for Disney to check your booking, add room requests etc etc. They can't see your Virgin booking till the day you check in.

Ok so Virgin ended up doing me a discount so I saved quite a bit by booking through them. However I now cannot link my reservation with MDE. I've called Disney and they've said it is up to Virgin to sort it out as they are a 3rd party and Disney doesn't have access to my booking info which I understand. I've called Virgin and spoke to two people who both said to give Disney my Virgin booking number and "It's not important to do it now". Grrr. I just want to be able to see my holiday info. I've been able to snag a dinner reservation without a room or ticket linked to my account. Any ideas on how I resolve this?

It should be your virgin reference that links.

I still haven't been able to link mine and I booked just over a week ago, it can take a while unfortunately :guilty:
