Booking dining with some one else's points?

I had booked a resort stay a few months back with another members points that I purchased. I didn't add the dining plan at the time because I wasn't sure if I wanted them.

So now, we're leaving in 5 days and we decided the dining plan would be beneficial to us, so we decided to book it. This is the first time I'm not using my own points or paying for the resort. I'm being told by member services only the individual who holds the account with DVC can book, even if my name is on the reservation and I want to pay for it right now with my credit card.

Is there anything I can do?

If you rented the points from another member, then they have to call. You are considered their guest.

afaik if that member called MS and made this reservation then your only option is to get in touch with member so they can call MS and add dining plan because they 'control' reservation until you check in. If the points were transferredfrom that member's account to your DVC account and you made reservation then you would have been able to call and add dining plan, Magical Express and personally handle any other details of this reservation.

Best wishes & hope it all works out MS needs to called at least 2 days before to add DDP.

Your name may be on the reservation, but the other member owns the reservation, and they are the only ones who may make changes. Sorry, your only recourse is to go thru that member.

Got it all straightened out. I went thru the member who booked for me.
