Booking difficulty Thanksgiving week 2020

We need to book a 2br and a studio at SSR for Thanksgiving 2020. How difficult will this be? Should I book the studio first then the 2br? Online as soon as booking opens? Also 2 rooms on one reservation, do I just put different names on each room? It sound like I don't know to ask because I really don't.

Yes, you probably should book the studio first then the 2BR although if you are booking at BWV all 2BR's are lock-offs so the availability will be the same.

You can just place a lead name on each reservatio in order to complete the initial booking quickly and then go back and add the additional names using the modify function.

It's actually pretty easy...just know: it will be two separate reservations (no such thing as multiple rooms on a single reservation)...if you're booking w/home resort advantage (at 11 months) at SSR, you really should have no problem, but it does make sense to start by booking the studio--studios book up faster at all time at all resorts (generally) than other villa sizes. Even at 7 months out and even at T-giving, if you book right when your window opens you should have no trouble getting SSR...the advantage of being such a big resort!

Yes, you need a different "lead name" (or same person w/name described differently--e.g., John L Smith on one; JL Smith on the other) for each of the reservations. Consider just booking both villas with the one name -- you can add the additional names later (by modifying online, or by calling or emailing MS)...you'll save time booking if you just use the one name initially and that could make a difference (especially w/the studio) at 7 months...however, you really should find availability at SSR, even for studios, at 7 months...You can book w/your points as many reservations as your points will cover, tho, so both reservations will still be "yours." And, you can call or email MS later to specify a "travel with" notation which will improve your chances of getting the two villas close to each other. Good luck.

And, to make the process go faster, just put the lead guest into the reservation at first (search with 1 guest), book, and then do the second room. Once each room is booked, you can go in and use the modify feature to changes the names and add more guests. This way, finishing the first reservation will go much faster!

Not sure of your timing, but it sounds like you might be intending to book SSR as an SSR owner at 11 months out. If that is the case and getting the rooms at 11 months out is a concern, be aware that historically the size rooms you want at SSR have been open for Thanksgiving time well past 11 months out.

Yes, we own Saratoga Springs and will be booking at the 11 month mark. I am glad to hear that I will most likely get what I want. I have been to Disney World several times for Thanksgiving ( we are Coronado Springs fans) and I know it is a busy time. This will be our first Thanksgiving trip as owners so just trying to get a feel for things.
