Booking DDP with an annual pass

I am wondering if you can book the DDP when you are using an annual pass. Will be staying on the property at AKL Kidani Village using dVC points. It is my understanding that the important issue is staying on sight and that the Magic Your way ticket isn't the issue. I would really appreciate any authority on this issue

If you are staying DVC points it doesn't matter if you have an AP...you can still purchase the DDP. If you are staying on a cash reservation with an AP you can still get an AP ticketless package and purchase the AP. Are you renting points or an owner?

Then its up to the owner if they want you to be able to add the DDP or not. It has to be paid for when added to the reservation so they'd either need to do a 3 way call with you and MS or you'd pay them and they'd pay MS to add the DDP. Some owners aren't willing to deal with the hassle.
