I don't know why this confuses me so much!:rotfl:
If I want to book a 1 bedroom at BCV for Nov. 9-14 2008 when am I suppose to call? Should I call day by day and if so what day will I be able to call?
Thanks!

I would call day-by-day....you can start 4/10 which is 7 months prior to the checkout date of your first night. When you call, tell MS that you are starting a day-by-day reservation. The CM will ask you the dates of your entire trip and make a note of it. Each day when you call back they will add one additional night to your original reservation until you are finished. You will have 1 confirmation # and receive 1 confirmation letter. You can also ask when you call what the availability looks like for all your dates.

It seems more complicated than it actually is. Call in the A.M. when MS first opens. It couldn't hurt to have a second choice of resort ready in case BCV is full.

Thank you so much! I will call first thing tomorrow then! I think I have an idea of a back up incase BCV isn't available.

I'm so excited!!!
BCV was available for my first night. Now I just have to hope I get the rest of my nights!!

I am renting points and staying 11/9-11/14 was hoping to stay at BC or BW but no luck today. Only SSR was available for a 2 bedroom and studio. :headache:

Desnik, what did you book?

I booked a 1 bedroom at BCV. I didn't check what the availability was at any other resort and I didn't inquire if there was a lot of inventory for that week. I should have. I am actually surprised that was all that was left when the person you are renting from called.
BTW, SSR is a great resort if that is the one you have to go with because of availability. It's our home resort and we love it. We have never been to the BCV that's why we wanted to try it.

Just wondering.....How have you made out with your reservations so far??

I have been able to book the nights of Nov 9, 10, and 11.

I am going to have to do this too and it was so confusing to me when the CM tried to explain it. :lmao:

We are new owners and just got our point balance today. We want BCV in early December but of course they are booked so we are wait listed.
I was thinking I could just make a reservation at another DVC but they reminded me that I have to wait until the 7 month mark since it is not our home resort.:lmao: I am learning.

They suggested that I make a day by day reservation when our 7 months comes up. Thanks! I now understand that a bit better.

My next dilemma is which alternate DVC to pick. I think we are split in our opinions between SSR and OKW. I really do not know which one to try for while we wait on the wait list for BCV.

How often do you get what you want when you wait list? I am afraid to get my hopes up!:rotfl:

I have only been on the wait list twice. Once it came through and once it didn't. It really depends on what time of year and where you are trying to stay. I was on the wait list for this coming trip and I decided to get off and stick with OKW. I really hear great things about it.

BCV we have never tried so we are excited about our next 2 trips! We always love SSR and I really wouldn't have a problem staying there all the time.

I have to say I have gotten really lucky with all the CM's I have talked to at MS the past few days. They were all really knowledgeable and knew what I wanted to do and knew how I need to do it. They really do walk you through it! Thank goodness because I always get confused, think I have it figured out, then call and space out!!:lmao:

I have also been able to get BCV one-bedroom calling the last few days. So far I have it for NOv. 9-12. I will continue to call to get it until the 16th. I call about two minutes before nine and it always goes through. I never have to hold the CM picks right up and we book it in five minutes. I am hoping I will continue to not have any problems with booking the rest of the nights.

To the OP, we stayed at SSR our last trip (our home resort), and LOVED it! It is a nice place and has a great pool with slide. We are staying in Beach Club this trip though because I do love the proximity to Epcot and wanted to try SAB!

I got the night of Nov. 12th!!!:cool1: Now just one more day to book!!

I was successful!! I am now booked at the BCV in a 1 bedroom for Nov. 9-14!!!:cool1:

I had never called day by day before and it really does work!

You are inspiring me! I am so happy that you were able to get your reservation!
I can't start my day by day calling until May but I hope I am as fortunate as you!

Have a great trip. We are also trying to get into BCV. As new owners we missed the 11 month date and now they are booked. We are wait listed but I am going to have to try to get us in some where at the 7 month mark.

Please, Please, Please!! If you are booking day-by-day and linking your ressies, please make sure you call before you leave and doublecheck that everything is in order.

I had a terrible experience with my day-by-day ressie last November at VWL. (I wound up getting all my nights except one in the middle, for which we paid cash.) It messed up our Dining Plan, I had to go down to the desk at least three times to "check out and check in" or to straighted out the mess that Member Services made. They had assured me that all my ressies were linked, but as it turned out, they were not.

All was eventually rectified and they even sent us a nice little goody basket as an apology, but, Yikes! What agita!

I will never, ever, try to book day-by-day again. I waitlisted for our trip next week and just waitlisted the entire trip. Fortunately, it came through.

Good Luck to you all! :goodvibes

I will definitely take your advice!! I will call in a few days to make sure everything is in order. I did check at the DVC site and it has the ressie there for all my nights and 1 confirmation # so is that a good sign? Did you have that too and it was still messed up?

I too have gotten a one bedroom for Nov. 9-14th so far! I want to get it till Nov. 16th but hopefully that should be fine. I think booking day by day isn't bad except that I have to make sure I am home at 9:00 am every morning. That has been a little dificult!!

I guess I will see you walking around the BC in November!!

Ok, I don't mean to hijack the thread but I don't understand the day by day ressie thing. Can someone explain why this would be neccessary and when to do it? We have just gone under contract for a small resale contract so I have a lot to learn!

Thanks in advance for the info.
