Booking Bounceback and Cancelling?

Hi: We are headed to WDW this week (YEAH!) and if we get lucky enough to find a bouceback, I may book it. I know you will have to put a deposit down, but do you know if the cancellation policy is the same (like 30 days or 6 days out or whatever it is to get deposit back?). My DH travels a lot for work, so we can't usually book very far in advance. But if we got a great deal, I would like to book and try to make it work. Thanks for any info...

I had to cancel a bounceback package that I had booked last December for this September. The cancel policy was 45 days, the same as a package booked at full rate. It only took 3 days for the deposit to be credited to my charge card.

When we were there for free dining in September, we booked the bounceback for this September but decided that wouldn't work for us this year . Our oldest DS is starting high school in the fall so we decided to go later in the year rather than just a few weeks into the school year. Rather than cancelling altogether, I modified our dates (along with the resort) for December . Of course we have to pay for the DDP instead of it being free, but my ressie number stayed the same as the CM just changed my dates/resort to fit our time schedule. So cancelling would be the same.....if it's a package, it would have to be cancelled by 45 days prior; and room only 6 days prior (I think it's 6 days, although I'm not 100% sure as we've only done packages ).

We booked a room only BB offer, and I believe it was the standard 6 days prior.

Yep. If it is room only, that is what they told me. Although they were trying to get me to buy a package for $200. I think that had a different cancellation policy.
