Booking BCV for 2nd week of Feb. Day by day or all at once?

I am taking my 3 DS's to WDW Feb. 11-17th to celebrate our "over-the-hump" of Daddy's deployment. In addition, my DMIL, DSIL, DBIL, and DNephew are coming along. This will be the first trip for my DInlaws.

I have booked us a 2 Bedroom at SSR, but now they are asking about BCV. I told them that I would try, but I obviously couldn't gurantee anything.

Should I try to book day by day for six days and then have the ressies linked? Or, should I just wait until the last day for booking the whole vacation? Make sense? If I go day by day, should I specifically ask for a Dedicated 2 bdrm, or just say 2 bdrm and take my chances?

This is the week before President's week. Any advice would be appreciated.

I'm beginning to think that any BCV booking at 7 months probably needs to call day by day, but February should be easier than other times of the year. My advice would be to try 7 months from the first check out day, and see what they tell you about availability. I have found MS is pretty good at letting you know if you need to do that. Can you book without first canceling your SSR stay? Do you have enough points for both without borrowing? You would want to be sure you can still bank the SSR reservation points if you get all your days at BCV.

I think I should be all set with points. I have a total of 600 going into 2007. 300 banked from my 2005 UY and 300 for my 2006 UY (Dec UY). 243ish will be held in reservation for my Feb. 11-17th trip at SSR. My 7 month window for BCV is July 12-18th. If I get the space at BVC, I will cancel SSR and get the points back. On July 30th, I can book SSR for my June 2007 stay. And then by May 31st, bank the remainder of points I have. I am cutting it a little close dates wise, but I think I look okay for points.

I will call MS the first day and see what they tell me. It would make things easier if they let us book from day of "check-in". Oh well.

It would be easier for us to calculate, but impossible for MS to track that way. If you call the first day, and they say there should be plenty of availability, you can then wait until the final check out day.
