I'm trying to make use of some credit offers, and Im wondering if it was permissible to book 2 consecutive nights at the same hotel and same room class/type, but different transactions.

I've got enough points to book 1 night at Universal Hard Rock, and want to use another credit card offer to book a second night at the same place and same room. It'll have to be 2 separate transactions/reservations, but wondering if hotels allowed these things so that guest donts need to check out and check back in? (i.e., stay in the same room the 2 nights).

We just stayed at Sapphire Falls and had two separate reservations. Make sure they note it and you should be okay. You will have to get new cards the next morning but that only took a couple of minutes

Call ahead and ask them to link the reservations. 99% of the time hotels will let you stay in the same room, however often you do have to visit the front desk to clear the bill and re-program your keys when the second stay starts.

Yeah for the most part its in their interest to keep you in the same room.

Just be aware of its a busy time of year and things just don't align for them they will have you change rooms.
I've had it happen, but again its not the norm.
