booking Aulani

How hard is it to get Aulani at the 7 month mark in June, July or beginning of August? We need a 2 bedroom. thanks

Hi, I booked an ocean view studio for July 30 - Aug 7 on the day of my 7 months with no problem. The standard view was booked for some days but I think island and pool were available. I checked the other day and most days for my week are now booked so I would recommend booking the day your window opens.

I booked an Ocean view Studio and Grand villa for june 3-8th right at 7 month window with no problem at all. They were even available a couple weeks later .

People have posted complaints here on the DisBoards they were unable to get standard or island view villas in June if they didn't book right on the dot at the 7 month mark 8:00 am Eastern. So far most of the Ocean and pool views have been okay. Also it can be difficult to get a standard view GV as there are only two. Other dates it pretty easy to get the view of your choice.

I booked a standard hotel room yesterday right at the 7 mth window - I actually wanted an ocean view studio, but all that was available was the hotel room or island view studio.

Though just happy that I will definitely be at Aulani in August!!

We went the last week of May last year into the first week of June. Standard 2 Br was not available booking exactly first thing morning at 7 months.
All other categories should not be that difficult very beginning of June, but I suspect that even island view might be difficult mid June into August, prime time. We were in a 2 BR island view!

We just booked a 2-bedroom at 7 months and the only one available was a OV lock-off. I was hoping for the mid-level view with a dedicated. We spent about 110 points than we planned for the week.

Couldn't really justify the high airfare for fewer dates, so we just bit the bullet. Good thing we are planning to take a non-DVC trip in 2016!

There are several nights during the week before and after Christmas with just the higher categories available (ocean or pool views) for studios, 1br, 2br. So if you own at Aulani, I'd recommend booking at the 11month window for Christmas next year if you need lower point-value rooms.

And don't cancel and rebook instead of walking the ressie, I nearly blew it that way today.
