Hi. If I book a full week at my home resort at 11 months and then I need to cancel a day or two and I cancel the following week or so, what happens to my points? I would be booking for December 2014 in January 2014 and I have a Sept. Use Year. Thank you very much.

Canceling at least 31 days prior to the trip puts points back into your account as they are...banked points are still banked. Borrowed would still be borrowed and current UY points are still current UY points.

With a Sept UY, any borrowed points would expire August 31, 2015.

Thank you. So, if I don't borrow the points for the December booking using my September UY points and then I cancel a few days off my reservation prior to 31 days before my trip, my points go back as they were. Could I then bank my unused points if I wanted? Thank you. You and others have always been so helpful when I have banking and borrowing questions.

Yes, assuming you are not past your banking deadline.

But with a September use year and a December vacation, you would not be past your banking deadline. You would until the end of the following April to bank the returned points. If you don't bank them, you would have to use them for a stay that ends on or before the following 8/31 or the points expire.
