OK..I have my trip booked...got my 40% off resort Pin code, all my dining ressies made....NOW, I just need to book my airfare.

I'm coming from Detroit to Orlando the week after Thanksgiving and the cheapest fare I can find is thru Airtran at 223.00 per person. I have 4 people going...UGH...

Does Disney book thru Airtran any cheaper than is published on Airtrans website? Anyone have any experiance with this?

Thanks

$223 a person sounds pretty good to me unless you're talking one way.

No disney booked airfare is often more than what you can get directly thru the companies website. The other disadvantage of booking thru Disney is if your airline lowers thier ticket price you cannot get a a price adjusment (if that is something that company offers). There is no advantage to booking air fare thru Disney.

Keep an eye on airtran thier prices fluctuate and I have found that in the 60-75 day out window they are usually the best I can get with them.

$223 is a pretty good fare. I would book at that rate before it goes up! Book directly on the airlines website.

We are flying out Friday evening on Airtran booked through Disney, it saved us roughly $75 per person, total r/t pp was $209 and would have been almost $300 through the Airtran website for the same dates and times. Book a fake trip with your dates online, add airfare and see what price WDW gives you compared to Airtran's site. I was also able to call Airtran after booking and have them link the reservation to my rewards number so that I'll earn points even though it was booked through Disney.

Edited to add: I'm sure it depends on what time of year you go, etc. so it might not be cheaper for everyone on every date, but it sure was for us!

We booked Airtran thru Disney and it was much cheaper. If we would have booked thru Airtran it would have cost over $1,000 for 4 people. But we booked Airtran thru Disney and it is costing us a little over $700. :thumbsup2

Where do you guys fly from that 223 is good? We are paying $161 w/ airtran (and $20 off that for a promo) and it's killing me. We can also fly allegiant from here as low as $10 each way but normally $39.99 each way is pretty decent. We fly from east tennessee.

We live on the Outer Banks and have to drive to Norfolk, VA (1 1/2 hours) to fly. We paid $239 pp through Southwest for our trip later this month. This was a pretty good rate for us, not the best, but not the worst I've paid either.
