booking air/car vacation package???

i have been holding out to purchase my air tickets but don't think i can wait any longer. my question is...if i purchase the SW/alamo air/car vacation package (which comes out $12 cheaper than air alone for 10 days!) what happens if i get a lower/ding fare? am i out of luck?

We were going to buy the SW Vacation pacakge for our August trip, air, POP and MYW tix. It would have saved us $266 over booking sep. w/USAir as our carrier. After much agonizing, we did NOT book through them for a few reasons:
1.You get actual tickets-therefore you CANNOT do online checkin 24 hours prior to flight. I was told to get to the airport 4 hours early, and maybe we'd get "A" passes if they weren't already gone.
2.The rep told me on the phone that we would not get a refund if prices dropped. OTOH, if fares went up, we'd be safe, as you pay in full at time of booking. If you need to make a change, there is a fee per person, depending on how far ahead the change was made.
3.With car rental-look closely, the rental rates do not include any taxes or fees. That can really add up!

We preferred to be able to check in online to get A passes, and that was the big factor in going USAir and keeping our WDW ressies as they were. Even though they are not non stop/direct flights, the ability to have assigned seats and get to the airport at a reasonable time(2 1/2 hours ahead) made it worth it to us.
Read the Terms and Conditions page-very important to help you decide. Also Customer Care at 1-800-243-8372 was helpful to us.
