So we will be in the world Nov. 29th thru Dec. 5th. This is the week after Thanksgiving...when I have been told is historically low in attendence.
(We got a pin for free dining so I am wondering if the attendence will pick up if others got it also)
We are in the process of making final ADR choice so that we can get them to our TA.
My questions are, If booked through a TA, did they get your ADR's for you or did you do it yourself? Also, if they booked, did you get what you wanted?
Just trying to get the best options. Thanks in advance...:goodvibes

Some people do have their TA's make reservations for them but you can book them yourself which is what I do. You can now book online which I think is very easy! There is also the dining number where CM's can help you set up your ADR. The dining number is 407-WDW-DINE. Hope that helps!:thumbsup2

I gave my TA (also my good friend) all of my choices and backup choices and she got me everything I wanted. I made sure my phone was near me in case she had any isssues, but everything went smoothly. It was nice not having to do it.

Be sure to check on the room discounts available at that time, especially if you're using AAA, because it may be more economical to take the room discount and pay for the dining plan.
"Free dining" is a marketing ploy to convince the masses that they are getting something for nothing. They are NOT. You must pay "rack rate" or full price for your room in order to get the dining. If you have several people in a value resort room, it's a good deal. If you have two people in a deluxe, it often costs more to pay full rack rate than the dining plan would have.

Yes, thanks for the heads up...I have checked and we are getting the best price possible at the time with the free dining pin...saved us over $900.

I have our ADR list ready for the TA, but I guess I need a back up list also...thanks for that idea tggrrstarr. :thumbsup2

thanks to all the rest who replied

I am a TA and am constantly making ADR's for my clients. And yes I've even hopped on the phone early for those that are trying for CRT :) I think if you have the right TA they'll do it. It can get bothersome when people change their minds or we can't get what they want so we go back and forth but I personally don't mind doing that. Although now that you can book online it might just be easier to do what you want since you'll be right there to make any decisions if you need to swap some things around. Don't assume that your TA will get online early in the am at the 90 day mark to get everything that you want.

I have had my TA make my ADR's since we first starting using her and 99% of the time she has been able to get me what we wanted. The first time I had no choice as I was going to be on a plane the morning my ADR's were opening up. I was nervous because I wasn't sure she would get everything but she did. Ever since then I just along my list and she takes care of it. I do give her a plan B just in case but most often it isn't needed.

When I first booked through her she did offer to make the ADR's for me and I wasn't sure I would trust her just because I am that way. I did make sure I asked if she would be up when the phones opened at 7am, before online, and she did assure me that she would be and did it all the time. Then work got in the way and had to go on a business trip so I didn't have a choice but let her make them. I am glad I did because it proved that she was trying just as hard as if they were her own reservations.

It is always a good idea to ask and make sure that your TA is willing to be up early, 6am EST now, so that you know where you stand.

A good TA especially one that specilizes in Disney travel should offer this service.
