booking a week then dropping a day

so i am looking to book a week at the boardwalk saturday to saturday end of august. I want to book the week then drop saturday and sunday and book those nights at another resort. can i do that or do i need to wait two days because of the 7 month window. please advise

If you think that Saturday & Sunday are likely to book quickly at the 7 month window (Epcot resort during F&W for instance) and want to be sure you have a place to stay, then book the week and drop them when you book the 2nd resort. You'll still have to wait for the 7 month window to open to book the 2nd resort if you don't own there.

I think what you are saying is that you want to make a reservation exactly 7 months out for BWV for a Sat to Sat and then turn around on the same day and call MS and drop the first two days and book a second resort for those. Though that seems like an inventive way around the seven month reservation window, it won't be allowed. The start date of your BWV reservation can never be more than 7 months out if you do not own there, and thus you will not be able to drop those first two nights without dropping the entire BWV reservation unless you wait an additional two days to try and make the change.

As an aside, if your concern is being able to get BWV for those five nights at 7 months out in August or September, be aware that BWV pool/garden view has in the past invariably be open at 7 months out and even past the 7 month window for that time of year.

thanks yeah i see its pretty wide open my goal is friday sat sun at Bay lake and Monday to saturday at bwv. so 8 nights total. the system says there is still board walk view for the full week sat to sat. so i wanted to get that and hold it seems all of august is open at baylake for lake view so i am thinking i should take the week if i can get it for boardwalk view and then wait the 2 days and drop the first 2 nights and then book baylake. i have 201 points for 2014 sep use year so i dont have quite enough with out borrowing and i dont want to do that.

BLT lake view, like BWV pool/garden should be open two days and more into the 7 month window, and BWV boardwalk view, even if shown as open now, has a risk of some of those days disappearlng before 7 months out, although if seeking 1 BR, the risk is likely very low.
