I want to book a trip to one of the moderate resorts in the value season. The date in which the vacation begins is in the value season (Oct 02), but the rest of the trip (until Oct 08) is regular season- which rate will I be charged?

You'll be charged the rate from what season it is when you book your first date...so you will be charged the rate for value season!
