Booking a trip

Can you book a trip to WDW with Disney directly via internet, and then they would phone you to confirm your Visa info or do you have to phone them? i have always went through a travel agent, but was wondering if it wouldn't be better to book through Disney directly.

If you book online, you enter your credit card information online. You receive email confirmation. I also received a letter in the mail with the reservation information. I prefer booking for myself but others prefer using a travel agent. I'm a control freak so I just do everything on my own.

As PP stated you will receive an email confirmation when you book online. If you are unfamiliar with the Disney discounts and promotion or how to get them there is plenty of great info online including this site, Allears.net, EasyWDW, Mousesavers.com and many others. Definitely look around and read the articles on some of these sites as they are a huge help

If you use a special discount code you have to call though.

I've never used a travel agent. I always book on line and call them if I need to change anything.

how do you get discount codes?

There's threads in Resort Forums. I get military discounts and AP discounts. Most are very well publicized.

If I don't use a discount I do everything online....if I am using a discount I just call Disney directly.
